About Me

Diego Aviles is a first-generation college graduate who received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from UC Irvine in Political Science and in Criminology, Law & Society. He subsequently received his law degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law where he headed several student run groups such as the Santa Clara La Raza Law Student Association, the Santa Clara Immigration Society, and competed in the Honors Moot Court – Jean Pictet Competition. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Aviles held positions at various organizations, including as a legal extern for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in San Francisco, the San Jose City Attorney’s Office, and Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County. Mr. Aviles also volunteered his time with the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center in San Jose, California where he helped low-income residents with workers’ rights issues and later served on the Law Center’s Advisory Board. Mr. Aviles has always sought to help vulnerable residents and consumers against large corporations and special interests. Thus, he decided to focus his efforts on representing mistreated employees throughout the state of California. To that end, in 2017, Mr. Aviles joined Bibiyan Law Group, P.C. to help give the underrepresented a voice. Since joining the firm, Mr. Aviles has helped bring actions against both national and regional employers for various wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. In that time, Mr. Aviles has gained extensive experience in prosecuting wrongful termination matters, sexual harassment matters, in class action litigation, and in private arbitration matters. In his free time, Mr. Aviles enjoys volunteering his time by participating in local speaking engagements that encourage students to further their education.
