About Me

Attorney Rua began her legal career in 2004 as a paralegal. She worked as a paralegal for over ten years before graduating law school, with honors, in 2015. She earned both her undergrad and law degrees while working full time as a paralegal and raising a family. Attorney Rua exclusively handles personal injury and workers' compensation matters. She focuses primarily on negotiating cases and bringing them to settlement. In law school, she obtained a distinguished award for her negotiating skills. She has obtained many six-figure settlements for her clients without the need for lengthy litigation. She prides herself on being able to help her clients in a quick, efficient manner. Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in 2009. She then earned her Juris Doctorate Degree and graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law where she earned a distinguished academic achievement award in negotiating. When she's not fighting for her clients, Attorney Rua enjoys quiet movie nights at home, reading a good book, and spending time with her family.
